Carols In The Park - Upper Hutt
Luke Whaanga was one of the star performers at Carols in the Park in Upper Hutt this year (2007) for a number of reasons. First and foremost he delivered a fantastic performance on stage. You always hear about his “big personality” and let me assure you once you experience it you are not disappointed (and neither are the crowd!). He has the ability to draw an audience in and engage them in the performance. What we also really appreciated about Luke at the Carols event was his flexibility and willingness to adapt at the last minute. We were in need of someone to go back on stage, because of some unforseen circumstances in our programme. Luke was willing and able and pulled out an equally energetic performance at the drop of a hat. A real professional.

Easy to deal with, good to communicate before and during the event, and a superb performer.

Savita Naran, Manager,
Bay 66 Bar & Cafe, Kilbirnie:

Myself and all of my loyal patrons at Bay 66 Bar & Cafe absolutely enjoy and love to have Luke performing OUR favourite songs. That is the 5 star plus treatment Luke gives to my bar.

Luke is aware of the age group, the type of music everyone likes and the mood of 'Bay' and always gives 100% effort in ensuring that everyone has a great time.

My staff love having him there and I love dealing with you Janne. Always so professional and great to communicate with. So thank you.

Everyone is asking,"When is Luke coming back". I hear it all the time. I can proudly say "soon".

"We Love You Luke."

Dean Candy, Manager,
Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club:
Luke has performed three times at the Upper Hutt Cossie Club and is engaged for two more gigs later this year.
He always attracts good crowds with his big voice, big personality and big smile.
He is very versatile, having wowed children at our NZ Idol Concert in the afternoon while also appealing to older audiences in his night engagements.
I would certainly recommend him as a quality entertainment option.

Hi Luke, a MASSIVE thanks from my wife and I for your performance. Everybody I have spoken with was blown away with your singing talents and some even got to chat with you during the night which they will have fond memories of that for a while - awesome! It was important for us that everybody enjoyed themselves and you certainly provided that. Best of luck for your future and I'm sure we'll keep an eye out for your next performance and CD's!"

Cheers, Jason
